Jewels de Paragon (JDP) in Bangalore was established in 1970 with the avowed aim of providing consumers with Unquestionable Quality, Impeccable Designs and Value for Money.
Established in 1902 as K. Rangaiah Shetty & Sons on Avenue Road, the business was flourishing as an extended family affair. The bold decision to change the name of the business and move out of the traditional 'jeweller's street' was what proved to be a masterstroke. These decisions were taken since the directors felt the need to project a more refined image in order to attract consumers from all classes of society.The showroom conducted business in Avenue Road for another 32 years.
In 1975, Mr. K.V.Kishore spotted a prime piece of real estate on the crossroads of Kasturba Road. The area was not developed but it was at the beginning of M.G. Road and had enormous potential. The building was completed in 1977 and the Jewels de paragon showroom moved into the premises in 1979.
